My 540 w new dual exhaust

So I finally found a local guy to take on my project. Hack my spare tire well and put my two mufflers on. I know it sticks out more than I wanted but I'm gonna have a custom diffuser made from my old one and it will hide everything better and show less tip. Here's the link. Thanks after I got the mufflers delivered I kinda wished that I woulda got the 15s cuz they r smaller and woulda fit cutouts better. But I'm happy now w them. I'm very happy w the quality of both jobs.

If anyone is looking to have this done and willing I drive to just south of Cleveland Ohio I can give u the info. I am thinking of having a few of these boxes made up and a template of where to cut and whoever is doing it it can just cut n weld. The same with the pipes. Night have some made up so it's almost a cat back system. U can just add muffler of ur choice or have it ready to hang after box it all cutout.

That's a good question. I said I wanted an x pipe put on then I mentioned that it'd be nice for both to run independantly but guy said x pipe ballences out exhaust evenly. It was custome made. I'll ask when I'm there tomor morn if it's and open x or 2 individual side by side. My guess is X-pipe

you do not want true independent. You definitely 100% want them connected like an x-pipe. You will have a power loss with true dual. The guy is correct. The set up looks awesome congrats!

Thank you. I hope to get a SC and 3.15 as well. Just hope my motor can handle it. A car this old scares me, I feel I should rebuild everything first.

yes, I agree. I thought my motor was strong...I am currently swapping motors now to a rebuilt one haha after the SC I experienced compression issues causing misfires, and it turned out to be a bad cylinder ring. These motors are rugid and can handle it for sure. Just make sure it is in good health. The 3.15 is awesome I would do that first if I were you. It is a good relatively inexpensive upgrade. If you SC don't be stupid like me and go all custom...just get a kit haha

absolutely do the clutch before the diff... you need a clutch, you don't need limited slip.

It's just creaks n is annoying. Works fine. I wanna do cdv delete before clutch too

mine creaks too, no issues thogh... if it grabs fine then I change my answer... LSD first.
