Real Quick, I Know its like beating a horse with a dead stick.

Okay

Rear Mount - Turbo, Exhaust Pipes/ Intake Pipes, Waste Gate, Oil Lines, Intercooler ....

Front Mount - Turbo, Exhaust Pipes/ Intake Pipes, Waste Gate, Oil Lines, Intercoole, Turbo Manifold , Exhaust ( <-- Still Optional actually )

Okay, So BESIDES INTAKE TEMP DROP ect.. Whats so special about a rear mount ? Because they don't have to run a Turbo Manifold? Cause that is really the only difference in the setup i see. Correct me if im wrong.

Let Me know! :)

Do some research dude. Heat loss in the exhaust, lag created from the travel of the charge, etc...

The only reason I would ever ever every think about going rear mount is if there was no physical way to make a front mount work. If that was the case, I would prob go with a supercharger.

Well, I Was talking to EuroWise ( They Did a E46 Rear Mount ) He said the only reason he went with a rear mount was because you cant fit a large turbo in the front???

I would think a GT30 or Gt28 would fit fine?

Anyone turbo their E46?

A rear mount often doesn't need an intercooler at lower boost levels, it also can help weight distribution if you're using something big (T6). Fully wrapping and coating the exhaust will minimize heat losses and preserve the turbo's responsiveness.

They also typically need oil scavenge pumps for the return line.

Rear Mounts also need stand alone, as no one is making tunes..

So then again Rear Mounts will cost more then a front mount.

I rode in a remote mounted 6262 E46 M3..at 11psi it made 530whp. Not overly laggy but very impressive and badass sounding.

^ He is in NC, It has to be Eurowise M3 Rear Mount.

I talked to them, They Said they had to do a Rear Mount cause Front Mount really has no room.

You need to get a book and start reading about forced induction systems, Some of the stuff you are saying doesn't make sense.

I wonder how HPF managed to do all those front mount E46M3 turbos if there is no room for one? And how did Maximum Psi and TT develop their new front mount E46M3 turbo?

Rear mounts are meant for GM cars, BMWs need not apply. :stickoutt
