different fuel recommendations for same engine?

I have a 09 328i, and I recently took my car into the dealer for service. They gave me a 2011 328i loaner...

On my gas cap, it says to use 91 AKI minimum. On the gas cap of the 2011, which has a slightly different gas cap design, it says to use 89 AKI minimum...

What gives?

Are you sure you are not looking at the F30? The N20 is a lower compression engine I believe and can take 89oct.
