OMG, saw a Z8 today, ON THE ROAD!!!

Ok its mid-afternoon, my compadre and I are cruising in his Tempest on the way to WalMart to buy my sexy Rhino ramps, and low in behold while driving through richville suburbia do I see the mighty front of the Z8 in the opposing lane. I just sort of looked at it for a second in disbelief and started to say "oh my god, oh my god, oh my god". My buddy asks "what?" and I say "a z8", he says "where??" and I say, "there, straight ahead" and continue my OMG for about 10 more times, watching it pass. I just couldnt believe that I saw one, ON THE ROAD. Who the hell buys such an item and has the nerve to expose it to air and sunlight!!! Oh in case anybody was wondering, it was that pretty silver color in all the pictures. God what a sexy car. Its a good thing I have excellent self control, otherwise there would be a hole in the roof of my friends car :rolleyes: .

Hell ya its a sexy car.. i was at my dealer yesterday checking out a silver Z8 and a Blue E46 M3. Both drooling over and had to leave before I signed my life away for the M3. :rolleyes:

Canbec (dealer hear in Montreal) had one.....I was in getting my car serviced when one of the younger mechanics saw me checking out the M3's and stuff.....

he came over and asked if I would like to see something.......I said sure....


he took me into a show room on the back, hidden away from the public where a red Z8 was sitting, already sold.....they were prepping it for delivery......I got to sit in it and shit......

almost creamed my pants.....

had a black interior, with a hard top.....

When I first got my car, I took it for the first check up at my local dealer (Beverly Hills BMW). I see this silver Jaguar-like car and this old man gets out. Then I do a double-take.....see the BMW rims.....and then inspect it further. I go to the back of the car to see what model it is and it says.............. Z8!

Wow! I thought it would've looked like a Z3 only with a bigger engine. No this car should have a James Bond in it with a hottie next to him. All silver with the nice silver/black trim inside. Price tag? $100,000!

That's a car you take to cruise slowly with your woman!

there's now a RED Z8 at Crevier BMW in Santa Ana... looks pretty awesome, but still the silver is the cleanest lookin' piece of machinery.... gotta love it!http://www.gsxgirl.com/smilies/eek.gif

saw another silver one on the road this weekend in Lincoln, MA -- how can anyone justify the cash for that car... As much as I would love it there are so moany other cars I would buy for the price (esp. with the mark-ups)!

About 4 months ago, a coworker of mine went over to Beverly Hills BMW to check out getting a e46 M3 or possibly a Z8. They had one there. . and it was in a bidding war between Leno and A Saudi prince. They were at 450K when leno gave up.
My coworker ended up leasing a 996

I just came from the dealer (Beverly Hills) after dropping off my car for service and the silver Z8 was front and center. Very nice car, beautifully detailed. But for that kind of money, I'll get something else.

Actually instead of 3 Modenas, I'd go for 3 Spiders. :)

A Silver Z8 passed me on the floating bridge as I was coming home from Seattle a couple months ago. Only one I've seen so far but it won't be long before I see more. Around here Porsche 996s and BMW M5s are like Honda Civics (at least in population) and I see an F50 at least once a week. =)

Same goes for Beverly Hills (BMW's, Porsches, even some Ferrari's are a dime a dozen). Lamborghini's are still rare as is the Ferrari F50.

I saw a bright orange Diablo on the way back from the RUN in Thousand Oaks on Saturday. I think I'll take my M3 over THAT diablo.

By far one of the coolest exotic car moments happened last summer while I was working (as a quasi-mechanic aka grease monkey/grunt). My friends dad also works there as the brakes and alignment guy. To say the least, hes god when it comes to cars (if its built after 1959 hes driven it and worked on it. He even did some of the mods to the Mustang in Bullitt. Like I said, god). One time there was a track prepped F40 there (totally stripped down and with straight pipes = such a beautiful sound). It was there for an alignment, and for those familiar with alignments you know that you have to test drive it afterward. Talk about the greatest sight known to man. Fred (the god) gets in and drives off, and a minute later I see him screaming up a nearby onramp at about 50. He was gone for a good 1/2 hour and finally came back (he actually just drove it back to the owner). He was smiling the rest of the day, which is especially amazing for a guy who smiles even less than I do.

There's some great cars down here in Vero Beach,FL as well - like Beverly Hills nice cars are a dime a dozen and exotics are a daily sight. Saw two Z8's while down there over the weekend -- one silver and one black. Also saw 1 green DB7 and 2 Ferrari 550's (light blue and black). All were on the road and looked incredible. Interesting enough, M5's are not represented well around here at all :confused:

IMHO, and not to bust on BMW, but the Aston Martins are much more suited to Bond's character, don't you think? I almost hear the theme song when seeing the car on the road

I actually saw this car out on a test drive... I guess this is their 10th car... The first one they had sold for over $300,000!!!
