2007 BMW 335i with factory sports suspension (mtech suspension)
Factory wheels
18"
Size (per the label in the door jam)
225/40 F
255/35 R

What is the proper offset if I was maintaining 18" rims?
What should the width be? 8.0,8.5 or 9.0
Looking at VMR VB3 CSL style wheels.

What would the proper offset be if I wanted to upgrade to 19" using the same style of wheel.
What should the width be?

I am thinking about running the same tires on all four corners.
For 18" what size should I run?
For 19" what size should I run?

I am trying to preserve the original geometry as much as possible.

Side note:
I also have a nail stuck in my wheel. It appears to have gone in on the sidewall. It's probably lying flush against the face of the sidewall. Side picture.
It's not leaking air. Spray water on it... no hissing.
Should i just leave it in? Repercussion?

Thanks all

Anyone with CSL style wheels and are planning to sell, let me know..

Check my sig to see what I have. I suspect I may have a small rub, but not 100% sure yet. But this is on the LCI, on my 07 I had no issues, so I assume you should be fine if you get the same dimensions.
Unfortunately, I very badly curbed my wheels yesterday :mad, and my car drives funny now :(. Hopefully it just needs alignment and nothing else is damaged, but I am not going to drive it much till I take it in to get it checked. The wheels are seriously scratched though, and will probably need professional refinishing. That being said, I don't think they seem to have sustained structural damage, so they are strong quality wheels, you will love them.

For that nail, you need to take it out, it could make things worse if you leave it in. Once out, you can find out if it is leaking or not. If leaking, you need a new tire due to location which cannot be patched. Good luck.

Mryakan,

Just curious, why did you go with 22mm offset for the rear?
I was planning to stay close to the original offset of 34mm for the front and 37mm for the rear..

Would running 22mm require the use of the spacer?

I've remove the nail... No leaks...yay. planning to replace all fours in a couple of weeks though.. Run Flat sucks on wear.
