BMW e36 18" offset

I have an E36 328i with standard 17" BBS staggered alloys. Firstly does anyone know the offset? I think its 40.

Secondly, I have been looking at 18's with a 35 offset and wondered what impact that will have? Will they stick out or will it not make any difference?

My 18s were 35et and they fit perfect. Fs too :)

+35mm offset isn't great for the rear, though it will work with fairly skinny tire. I'd be looking for wheels closer to +45mm or so for the rear if you want to run wide tires.
