Hey guys ,

Just got some wheels for my E24. They are Tran Am GTA mesh wheels. The hub has been redrilled to 72.5mm so they fit perfect.
Specs are 16x8 F&R , front ET 0 , rear ET 16
They bolted right up with no issues and I really like them alot. Problem is they came off a heavily "stanced" car with 205/45/16 tires.
Gives my car that 4x4 look :confused
The car will eventually get lowered. I want to get a meatier tire regardless of weather the car is stock height or lowered a couple of inches.
Can you guys recommend something that will work both now (stock height) and later when I lower the car?

225/50/16 is pretty common
I was lowered about 1 1/4 inches here

Thanks!
Due to the wheels being staggard would It be best to have different tires front and rear?

Yep, 225/50/16 is closest. Get's you the right diameter anyway, although that's really best for 16x7's.
245/45/60 is better for 16x8, but that tire size has slipped into unavailability recently. Only track tires still available in that size.
It's common to a lot of older Porsche's though, so there's word that Bridgestone has put RE-11's in that size back into production and they should be available again in a few weeks.

Nope since you are square (16X8) even with that zero offset in front you won't be rubbing fender or anything and that 16et rear should clear the shock/springs.

Thanks...I liked the 16's (southern ways) they were very similar to what you have on there now. Can't go wrong with that look on our cars.
