Hey Guys,
I just signed up on here to actually research a new 328i sedan. Im currently in Kandahar, Afghanistan in the military working trauma at the role 3 combat hospital. Through the military sales program I can order a new 2012 or 2013 BMW from the factory in Munich at about $4K below MSRP and have it sent home. Also I hear USAA will give you a $1500 discount if you finance through one of their approved BMW dealers. Anyone on here used either one of these programs to buy their BMW that can tell me about their experience??? :help

I ordered mine through Pentagon Auto Sales just before I went to Germany and it was ready when I got there. As you’re in Afgh, that wont work for you but yes, substantial savings can be had through military sales. I even managed to get it tax free as I had it for over 6 months in Germany (your state may vary). “Free Shipment to the States” is kind of a misnomer as the cost is often already factored in there and the free part stops at the port…after that you pay to have it sent to whatever dealer you want. Still…DO IT. All told, I saved about 8K on my 335.

thanks GOZ 2 11, I just went through all the posts and saw the military bashing, are you still in Germany?? Im a LCDR as well with over 23 years and tax free $ here is very nice. I will be dealing with Pentagon Auto Sales as well and it seems like a simple process. They charge $895 for shipping and its to the dealer closest to your house. Im a reservist so I will be a civilian when mine is ready.

I didn’t read that as bashing so much…more just being uninformed. No offense was taken. Germany was just a six month tour…one of the greatest six month of my life. I’m in the wrong branch of service to be able to spend a lot of time there. I worked with Army and AF guys who’ve done almost their entire career in Europe. Nice.
Enjoy the ordering process. It’s painless. What will kill you is watching it being “built” on line and knowing it’s finished somewhere out in the world without being able to get to it…wondering who’s sitting in it…driving it…breathing on it.
Got mine with this on the odo…
