View Full Version : major help needed on 98 540i diy head gasket

i recently had my 98 540i over heat low and behold my heads warped took them in had them resurfaced cleaned now puttin it back together im kinda lookin for help pretty sure i can do it just needin some help and guidance to make sure i dont matters worse im specifically needin help on the cam chains and timing positions i marked the chains and sprockets but would much rather prefer a system and exact position i should have my crankshaft and cams and so forth i can do it myself all the tools i could possibly need just hopin someone out there can give me some guidance in the matter before i start puttin back together as of now im down to the block and ready to put the heads back on already have all the gaskets any help would be a life saver

You need the camshaft setup tools. Go to Baumtools.com, autospecialtytools.com, and sirtools.com to get the proper sets.

Also learn how to punctuate. This post is incredibly hard to read or make any sense of.

I apologize for the scrambled mess. I was in a rush and hands covered in grease thanks for the info.
