Hi,
This is my first post here on the forum. I'm looking at buying a 2009 335i xdrive real soon.
I'd like to pick your brains on what I should be looking out for to get a good purchase. CPO or not to CPO. Coupe vs Sedan? Oil cooler or not?

I've seen a couple and they both had paint chipping issues in the hood mainly.

Please any advice at all would be welcome. What kind of prices should I be trying to get, interests rates etc. Anyone recently purchased a 09 335 xdrive?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Stay away from anything that has to do with all wheel drive and xi models lol
If you want to avoid headaches in the future. Im a bmw tech now for almost 7 years now and i recently worked at bmw na in jersey i also most of my experience in the dealership scene and have seen my shares of issues with the xdrive and all that all wheel drive crap.
Get a nice e39 m5 and youll be good lol

Not even close to the same type of car, not really a useful recommendation as it's so fundamentally different.

OP:
If you go CPO it's a good car. A CPO'd 09 probably won't be too pricy either. The AWD works extremely well in the snow (so well that the car won't even slide around with traction control on and standard all season tires). They're fun to drive, comfortable yet still fairly sporty. The xdrive kind of kills the mileage, but you're not buying a heavy BMW turbo car for good mileage to begin with. Overall, I would say the 335xi is an enjoyable car to drive every day. It isn't a highway cruiser like a 5 series and it isn't a track toy like an M3. It's just a good balanced ride. However, I would avoid most new BMWs without warranty.
