Today I switched back to the summer mats in my '94 530i and I found this under them. It looks like it has speaker wire inside it.

After 8 weeks in the shop, I got it back the other day and gave it a nice wash.

I should note that there was a Sirius Satillite Radio dock installed when I bought the car. Maybe it's part of the antenna for it, but why wouldn't he take the dock as well?

Not sure actually, that's the way they've always been. I do have to replace the passenger low beam as it died but was replaced with an aftermarket one. I just gotta find one for the right price.

Haha! A rock may have hit the passenger low beam and that's what broke it. The previous owner probably ordered them to protect the lights.
