It obviously doesn't belong in the POS glovebox that constantly falls off, so where to keep this thing (owners manual, etc)?

Do you even keep it in the car? I've leafed through it a few times trying to figure out how to operate certain things, so its kinda handy, but so big :(

Maybe under the trunk floor panel (touring) with the jack in that big useless cavity (I saw a tow bar stowed in there recently!)?

It sounds like you need a new glovebox... or at least a new handle.

Agree with Cory. Just fix the glovebox.

Asking where to put it is like asking "How to see at night" when your headlights are out, without wanting to fix the headlights. :confused

in a drawer next to my bed along with all me other black books and car keys and car historys. dont see the point of keeping it in the car. i always have me phone on me anyway so its just as easy to search the internet than flick through the giant book

There's probably little practical point in actually having the owners manual in the glovebox, but to me, the car just feels "incomplete" without it. It's a weird security thing.

This. And seriously, what is everyone's problem with the glove box?!?! It's NOT that hard to fix.

Yup. They usually just need a new latch or new clamping hinges. About as simple a fix as you get in the E34.

I have no problem fixing it, every other time it opens is a bit much though. Poor design, IMO.
The handle is fine, as are the clamps, it just seems that by the time I get it aligned half-assed correctly, the clamps are barely hanging on...

Anyhow, I'll probably take the actual owners manual out of the binder, keep that in the GB, and store the rest in the attic/closet/basement...
