View Full Version : Would worn camber plate bearings cause shimmy?

What's up guys, I have been trying to diagnose this steering wheel shimmy for months... Initially I thought it was the stock fcabs that have tons of play from the factory, and while it made things tighter it made me feel the shimmy in my steering wheel more instead of fixing it. I have had this shimmy since I changed my wheels and suspension (which happened on the same day), so I thought it was the wheels but changed them and the problem persisted. Then I remembered that when I was changing the suspension, the front pass camber plate (TC Kline) had a minimal amount of play in it, and I did not think it would matter. Sometimes when going over bumps I hear a clunk from the front pass side, and am wondering if that bearing is the source of my shimmy and clunk? Would that cause such an inconsistent vibration in the steering wheel from 40-85 mph? Any input would be appreciated.... Also changed control arms and tie rods in April 2010 so I don't think that is the issue
