Hello guys, I am looking to potentially buy a used BMW

anything I should know??

Ill be looking to buy pretty cheap around 3500

should I avoid automatics at this price??

any junk models

any stand out models??

Pretty much any 3-series is a good starting place. Your price range puts you in decent e30 or e36 territory.

This sounds about right. You can get into a lot of BMWs for that money but I would avoid 7 series even though they are tempting at the price.

I'll echo what everyone else has said: avoid higher models; while you can get them for that price, they won't be in good shape. Stick to an E36 if you can swing it.
