I'm thinking to buy a 2009 328i coupe (miles 50k or 37k, i'm not sure) from a dealer. it's sport package with paddle shift.
it is used ,and 2 owners already. the price around $26k + CA tax.
here is the VIN WBAWB33569P137250
Does anyone can check the VIN for me?
any suggestion, this is the 1st time i'm buying a BMW.
Dose it is expensive to maintain?
any advise will appreciate.
Thank guys.

I am not sure if prices in CA are generally higher or not, but I just purchased a 335i w 44k for $27.5 it's 09 and has all option u mentioned including iDrive and premium red leather. So shop around little more. Show genuine interest in the car at dealership, if you don't get the optimal price, walk out.

Based of my experience, before buying this car I had shopped around for almost 6 months, you have to be careful of hpfp (it maybe just the 335i) but make sure they are updated. My buddy owns a 328i a 08, dosnt have much complaint. Except minor things like headlights going out, seat belt "arm" doesnt work (dis located)
Make sure you take it to private mechanic for PPI. I took mine there and also BMW dealer for full inspection
Good luck

with those miles and that year you still should be on the original warranty for just under a year depending on when it drove off the lot. BMW should cover all of your service worries, and then before it goes off warranty, invest in the CPO warranty extension.

I just bought a 09 328xi sedan with ~30k miles on it with 11 months left on the original warranty. Near mint. I took it in to BMW for an inspection and oil change (off warranty as it was not required at this time as previous service was UTD). The did it for free in the end. :)

The 328i has a pretty under-stressed engine, so assuming that you and the prev owners do not/did not drive like a hooligan, you should get a number of trouble free years from that car.

PPI's are good for out of warranty cars. Otherwise, my rule is that if a car is in great condition and looks loved, it probably was. If a car looks warn for the age, it was probably a hit and run lease.
