Hi guys, I got my 2007 335i coupe about a month ago, and this is my first post in here. I've finally run into my first problem. Sometimes while driving the air conditioning will randomly shut off for a split second then come back on. It's not necessarily that big of a deal but I wanted to make sure that it wasn't a precursor to a serious problem. I have a CPO car so I can bring it in for warranty work if need be.

Is it on WOT?

No, it is under normal driving conditions. Thanks for the reply.

I have seen many many cars do that. I don't know why, and I don't know what the fix is. Just saying. It may not be "normal", but it's not out of the ordinary.

I am just wondering if the computer for whatever reason decides that it needs to reduce load on the engine and shuts it off. Maybe the reason is valid, or not (i.e. a bug)! I do not suppose it would have anything to do with the condition of the battery, would it? Could be worth a check.

Mone does this under various operating conditions. Seems to stop and think for a second and then restart. My E36 used to stop completely for an extended period; no fan, no air, no anything. Problem never correctly diagnosed. So the short answer is ..wait for it....."they all do that".

Could be this, or a bad relay/resistor, etc.
