So im working on wiring the jumpers on my MS unit and I have an inquiry about the IAC.I am keeping the stock unit and I see in the factory diagram that it shows WT/YL as "extend" and WT/GN as "retract".My guess is that "extend" is what the MS wants to see as "open" meaning that "extend" would refer to the act of the valve allowing in more air.Is this a correct assumption?just making sure!

BTW this is for an 85 e24.

It sounds correct. Awesome that you're megasquirting an E24, I was considering doing mine till I wrecked it. Are you using the stock ignition or running individual coils or anything cool like that? What are your goals with it?

:D

Its quite the process even with the pnp...though i did get a DIYPNP so a bunch more work.I also had to basically convert to motronic 1.3 to use this unit,I feel it was an easier route that just going with the standard MS.

Also I will be making a comprehensive build thread for this swap specifivally for these cars.Despite the hoard of info out there I still had a hard time answering some details...notes have been taken!!

That's awesome. So no sequential ignition then, just stock distributor? I was wanting to look into a cam sensor solution using a toothed wheel but never really got to figure anything out... My M54 E30 is my current main concern...

Easy stuff to make happen down the road.I have serious time and funding concerns right now so im keeping stock ignition for the time being.

Tell me about it, that's what's holding me back on my M54 swap... Only have a few more things I need but I just can't afford them!
