I don't venture down here often, but I have not had much success finding a good alternative to the e46 non-m fuel pump. I have a AA s/c and at last dyno just over 330rwhp. I have replaced just about every sensor, and bushing in the last 2 years, and at 135k the fuel pump is next on the list. I spent some time researching to see if a Walbro or other suitable pump would fit, but all that comes back is for the M3. I checked Realoem and the part numbers are different, for the M vs non. Can anyone recommend a better suited replacement or is oem the best bet?
Thanks

In my E34, the Walbro's diameter was too small to fit directly in the OEM housing so I just cut some rubber sheet and wrapped it around the pump and it fit snuggly in place. I think TRM sells an install kit for the Walbro as well but that might have been for the E36.

The fuel pumps these guys sell supposedly work well, but I have no experience with them. http://www.highflowfuel.com/ The walbros seem hit or miss regarding early failures.
:edit: this one... 255lph, $78

From what I understand, there are a ton of fake Walbro's out there too. With the same stamp and everything.

technicamotorsports.com Brett has a great set up that slides right into the factory level sensor. No mods required.

Called Technica Motorsport this morning, very helpful ppl. The problem with E46's is that BMW took what ever was laying around and used it... So you can have an E36 non m E36M, E46M, E46non M or any variation housing in the tank, at the end of the day is it large or not. I have to pull the housing, take a pic and send an email. The Technica kit sounds very promising, they have all the necessary parts to fit the new pump.
Thanks to everyone for the input

Correct...
and from recent photos,
it looks as if Mike at TRM has finished design
and possibly begun fabrication of the TRM DUAL HANGER, in tank fuel pump kit for those wanting a bit more.
Hopefully he will show more pics and chime in.
Or is the design below for M Coupe tank fit ONLY? :dunno

Data is the only thing holding them back.
The long term effects of E85 mixed with 100 octane, steroid straight-cane
on the composite quad hangin' double dangler
will determine new 1000 wtq record milers.

Anyone have experience with the Aeromotive 340lph? From what I have found on other forums, it seems like a nice upgrade in terms of reliability and performance over the 'standard issue' walbro 255, without being too much more expensive
