335i Phone button on steering wheel, but no bluetooth...

Hey Everyone,

I picked up a 07 335i on friday and LOVE IT!!!

the only thing I can't seem to figure out is why there is a phone button on the steering wheel and 1/4 of the home screen on idrive for communication, but there is no bluetooth option (well at least that i can find). I went through all the options/settings and nothing.

Is this just a tease/ left there for other BMW's with bluetooth or am i missing something?

Also, does it play DVD's or is that another tease. I tried an old Wedding Crashers DVD in both slots but nothing.

BT is not a standard option, and came bundled only with BMW Assist. If you don't have the SOS button on the headliner you don't have BT. They left the button in all cars, however.

There is a way to play DVDs, but the car can't be moving. Can't remember details.

ok thanks for the response. I dont have the SOS button so i guess i dont have it. The other thing is the car was stopped when i tried the DVD, it said it was not a supported format.

I don't think the 07 version of iDrive can play DVD's.
