Your car I take it. You mean white ext on white wheels? Was thinking it would be white interior. :)

Why are you selling it?

I am in collage right now and need the money to go to Germany.

Collage?
At a quick glance...the wheels surprisingly flow well in white. I typically find those ones one rough on the eyes...period but rough.
Paint minus the front spoiler looks pretty good (white looks good even when it does not:) ) Interior looks pretty nice sans the dash cracks.
Engine needs some love! Coolant level sensor inop...missing wire, no good.

Remove this from the ad:

I was told that the suspension setup was $4000 and the exhaust was $2000.

:lol

Other than that not a bad looking car but $9500 is well outside the realm of reality. If someone offers you $3500-$4500 run with the money.

I went through all my receipts and added them up to $6,806.96..... That is not including the suspension or exhaust.... Is that really all my car is worth?

If i were to turbo or have an engine swap, would that add any value? I am just curious.

Maybe. 9600 is M6 money.

H&R springs are what $300.00. Bilsteins are $500. I just had a complete custom exhaust done for about $400 with new cat.

No offense, but I have told you before, there are really nice e24s in the area. They just aren't daily drivers. You should see John Calvins car/s before you claim "one of the nicest E24s in the valley". I only say this as your market is to people who... know. Maybe I am wrong, and you find a college kid who falls in love with it.

Good luck!

Really doesn't matter how much you have into the car. The bottom line is whats the total overall condition of your car. Add up your receipts and just call it "maintenance" that you needed to do to keep the car in good working and aesthetic condition. Happens all the time with any old Classic Car. Plus these E24s are not really that rare yet. I'd have to agree that with this bad market, pricing is poor for those regular model 635csi. Unless you have an immaculate low mileage 5- speed Euro model that needs absolutely nothing on it (near mint), it could reach $8K-$9K. Like all older cars, you just need to find the right buyer.

You should watch the episode of Wheeler Dealers involving the rebuild of a BMW635csi. You can see your wheels in the show. Haha.

It is a tough time, unless you have a superb example M6 or M635csi ($15K-$22K), it will be a while before pricing starts to increase...Most enthusiast think that it is a good thing....so we can keep buying up the good ones :D

If you really have to move your 1985 6-Series, you probably need to drastically lower the listing price. Good Luck with the sale.

If I were in the market I would go $4K tops on that. Condition seems average from the pics. I saw a much nicer white 635 on the Murray BMW lot last fall.

I have to agree with most of what's been said, and might add this:

I hope you didn't spend too much on the stereo system, because it adds very little if anything to the car's value. It might appeal to some very young buyers, but most people in the market for a car like this are shopping for just that: the car itself, not a stereo. Many would actually prefer to buy a car with few if any personalized modifications, so they can modify it to suite their own taste (or alternatively, just leave it stock). That's just the way it is.

Unfortunately, the e24 does not command as much money as we would like.
For $9k the seats should be perfect or close, the door panels should not be sun stained, the engine bay should be spotless. If that were the case, I would still say $6k is a stretch.
I always consider money spent on fixing and upgrading specialty cars to be an un-investment.

I will say, I would rather have a nice, sorted, rust free 635 for $9k over a ratted out $9k m car.

I think I will get better pictures up, and more picture. It was repainted six years ago, and there is no underbody rust. This car was garaged its whole life, but not the last two years. I was driving it dally to find and fix all the bugs. I went back and I don't think those pictures are very good quality. Thanks for all the comments guys!!!!
