4/23 update.......we never got to 10. Thanks for trying ...another day perhaps.

UPDATE.......we have until this Fri...4/20/12...if we dont have 10 by then it is not going to happen.

We will need a total of 10 kits to order. e36/e30 to be included in the total of 10. Shift knob WILL be included...Tall black or DTM style white.

300.00 each...shipping extra.

AKG selector rod pricing :..15.00 dollars off.

if you run an e 30 24v swap..you cannot use the AKG sel rod... you will need a twisted UUC DSSR....or you can use a stock sel rod...twisted for 24v or straight for m20....

This will be time sensitive. Ill try to ans any questions you have.....this is a feeler ...if no interest Ill be out.

best..

just trying to give back!!..thanks to AKG

If they can give me conformation that I don't need solid motor or trans mounts to run it, I would be interested.

I did converse w/ them re solid mounts. The company policy is that solid mounts should be used. Thats how they stand. That being said, I know of many that DO NOT run solid mounts w/ no complaints...both street and race cars....

Its up to you on that...as long as you are clear how AKG stands.

edit!...AKG cleared this up for me...solid mounts are not needed i.e. solid aluminum.....

Group N style....75 euro poly is fine....the AKG s50 swap motor mounts are fine too.....straight from AKG!!!

I knew that ages ago and that everyone telling me otherwise was wrong.

well I hear ya....

there are pages and pages of reviews on this product and like any other internet topic some folks just post info that is wrong or just opinion......

many run the set up WITHOUT "solid" mounts and are very happy.

If we can get this done quickly, I'm in for the e30 version. Both shifter and DSSR.

You don't need solid metal mounts, but stiff, high quality mounts (read: not from the blue flywheel company) are a must.

I run the Vorshlag nylon engine mounts with their red tranny mounts. You do have to crank down the tranny mounts to make sure the poly is properly compressed. Otherwise, I've had no issues shifting even in high-G turns.

I'm in. You can use a straight DSSR for 24v swap with ZF tranny right? IIRC the twisted is only needed for g260.

hey......

as far as I know, only the g260 set up requires the "twist".

I got the word out to my SpecE30 brothers.

oh, thanks!!!..

I assumed the shifter was not "open"......or would need to remain stock style configuration.

I know it is Sunday, the 22nd but I was at NJMP and missed the Friday deadline. Count me in for an E30 with Black shift knob if by some chance this still can happen.
