ok so out of all 4 e36's i have ever owned i have never had one with a properly fit kick panel. and by kick panel i mean the black card board peice which covers underneath the glove box. and im finally asking....How do you make it saty in place!!!!!!! :( it really annoys me. if anyone can shine a light to this simple task that i have yet to fix it would be great

I haven't been into the part of my car in my awhile, but I do recall something like pushing it up and over to slip it into the right position, there are plastic guides to hold it in place, then of course just a few screws to secure it.

yeah well the screws i dont have and then when it is pushed up nothing seems to secure it from the the back it seems like on the two front screws do and even screwed in it seems to fall

If I recall, there is one "mounting" point on the far-side (towards the engine) and you slide it on there first, and push it back as you slip it under the plastic trim towards the front. Then wiggle the vents into place and secure it with the screws.
The far side mounting piece is like 3 small tabs, 2 that are parallel to each other, and one above. The panel slips in between them. Looks like this:

I've taken mine off when I replaced the air cabin filter. IIRC, there were some zip screws holding it together. Maybe your'e missing the c-clips that they screw into, like this: http://www.ecstuning.com/ES16721/
