Have anyone ever owned one of these? I think it would be a cool tool to inspect for sludge via the oil cap.

Its at that price because its so thick...16mm is huge, it won't likely get into tight spaces on a car and such.

I almost got dad one for Christmas but then realized it would be basically useless for anything he would want to do with it.
