Just a thought. Get a flange, pipe and elbow. Weld them up to mount the WG lower and not directly to the manifold. This is how everyone else with SPA, Treadstone, etc does it. Except for TCD

Ok so it doesn't have to be directly on the manifold and I can bring it below the turbo
I have flanges I can weld up and some pipe
Ok I have a picture but it won't let me post it

Yes. The wastegate can be located somewhere along the downpipe, with a pipe from the manifold. Many of us have them in this location and they work fine.
Here is mine for example, you can the WG pipe which snakes down next to the downpipe to the WG, then into the exhaust.

You really should have used some bends in there.

Well there is bends but I don't have a pipe bender and don't know anyone with one that won't crack the stainless
It good enough to get me by for now
