My cluster has tamper dot, and I would like to check if the mileage is not correct. Is there a way to check it from car's computer? Can it be done at home?

www.ebay.com

go to ebay motors, post a classified. enter vin, make stuff up. when submitted, a minute later the autocheck should show up. review that see if anything is out of whack.
when done, print it out, save it whatever, then go into your ebay account and delete the ad. there is no charge for a CLASSIFIED AD, dont post an auction, that costs money

It's not there, could it be because I'm in Canada?

Yes. You can compare the LKM mileage to the cluster.

You can also see if both the LKM and IKE both have the correct VIN to see if someone pulled a swap.

Just had this problem last weekend.

Could you provide some details on how to do it?
Thanks.

Is there a thread where I can read the actual steps on how to do it?

Not really. Search the Diag forum?

You need to find out what issue you have.
a. LKM not correct for car.
b. IKE not correct for car.
c. Ibus problem.
