Strange question, but anywho..

Is there a company that will allow ME to do the tuning to the vehicle with a laptop?

I used to tune LS1s/LSJ motors, so tuning isn't anything new to me... i just figured instead of spending 700+ dollars on a custom tune, buy the software and do it my self.

anything like this out there for the stock ECM?

For your OBDII BMW ECU, NO.

If you want to convert your car to OBDI, YES, with the Miler Performance W.A.R. Chip.

Not really. You can program for any variable you see fit. Really is a good way to go
