Took the M out this morning for a cup of coffee. Got there and got back home, went to check the mail and on my way back noticed something was "not quite right". My drivers side turn signal was completely gone. WTF?

I just installed OEM ambers a few days ago with the headlight off the car. Pushed it in and got a satisfying click, even double chcked it when it was back on the car. I'm perplexed. I guess something somewhere just got effed up.

Ordered the bulb receptical and lens on Flea bay for about 25 shipped. Lesson learned huh?

Anything like this happen to you guys?

I believe the coupe and sedan side lights are different. I gave my friend my old ambers (I have a coupe), and the light ended up falling out of his sedan. Thought they were interchangeable...they are not.

Sorry to hear you lost the corner. Should click more than once. push them in hard to make sure its secure.

Add me to the list. Lost a smoked corner and had to deal with a 5 day road trip looking like a tard.

Been there haha
But I managed to drive back down road and find it undamaged :)

This is why when/if upgrade lights, it's always good to keep the old ones around encase of emergency.

This is the reason mine are ziptied in, happens all the time. My friend with a turbo M3 had one fly out at 130+ lol. Lesson learned.

My right one falls out lol. This is why I have a strip of clear tape holding it just in case...

Idk how many times I've gotten out of the car and had to pop it back in.

Yeah I made sure the seller had Coupe lights before I bought them, and they fit in nicely.

I threw in the clears the car came with for now. I honestly can't really stand the look but it's better than having an open hole in the fender Mad Max style.

I'll be sure to zip tie the new guy in there when it get installed. Cheap insurance really.

Thanks for the reply's. Glad I'm not the only one, but it still sucks for us.

Supposed to hear 2 clicks when installing.

But def zip tie them in for added protection.

I keep spares {smoked}
I've actually seen them fly off the car on the highway lol
the aftermarket ones are real brittle. The alignment pins crack or already cracked when you get them.

mine has flown off the car while at speed twice....:shifty

i learned my lesson after the first time though...2nd time the corner was ziptied in with 2 zipties and 1 of the zipties failed

3M doube stick tape layered multiple times between the headlight glass and corner light mating surface and some on the nosepanel portion where the corner light rest on if your guide pins are broken! This worked on my old setup for more than 5 months before getting rid of them.
