No. Far too small

Yes it really is, but it's very comparable to the 20g that AA used to use in their kits. Plenty of people made between 400-420whp.

Try the 6262

He doesn't need to jump to a 6262, he can go with something smaller. I drove around a 135i today, and its nice having decent power around 1400 rpm when driving around the city.

Bingo like a precision 5755 or 5757.

Ya 6262 is very similar to a 35r, dont think that is what hes looking for.

Thanks guys for the quick response, I thought it was to small, but the deal was to great to pass up.
This is the thing I would love to get a 6262 or a gt35r but in a e30 I really think those turbo's are over kill the car has traction problems just with the s52. I just feel there needs to be a balance between power and weight. I think 450-500 is more than enough, I would rather quick acceleration vs top speed. What turbos are you running Z3speed4me and bigmac834 and badboostedbmwm3?

A small turbo with a small ar will make a lot of torque early and amplify traction problems. IMHO 6262 is smallest I would go on a 3.2l.

+1
With a bigger turbo you can turn the boost down if it's too much power. With a small turbo, whatcha got is all you are gunna get.

If you are worried about traction off the line or in the lower gears, I agree with the comment above that the small turbo will amplify the problem. It will be so responsive on the relatively large engine that boost will come in very early with a massive torque surge. Later on, when you are hooked up, the power will taper off because the turbo is tapped out. This might be the best choice for a daily driver with traction control, but most enthusiasts would want more top end. And when traction is limited in the lower gears, you might as well trade some low end for more top end. You will still have traction issues in the lower gears, though.

I have a 35r right now. Maybe something different soon I dunno yet.

6262 similar to 35r except that it pulls higher at the top end, but 35r spools faster?
i've been trying to make a choice between those 2 and have seen alot of builds with the precision. one reason i would like to go with the precision would be the lack of extra water lines going to the 35r.
what would you guys suggest? and i'm thinking bottom mount because i dont want to break the bank buying a good topmount manifold that would clear the turbo and hood. always can throw a Spa manifold for half the cost.

I like bottom mount manifolds on these cars. Clean, uncluttered, space for proper air filter, AC can be retained, big exhaust can be easily fitted, less heat on top of engine bay near valve cover, and you can make all the power anyone needs. A $500 spa might be best for 500 rwhp or less, but a $1000 Steedspeed is good for whatever you want. And there are various tubular manifolds available.

so a spa manifold is good for around 500whp, probably best seeing not a lot of people build the bottom end for a budget, but say you wanted more out of the 6262 what other bottom mounts would you guys recommend?

Many people have made more than 500whp. For a log manifold, the SPA flows extremely well. Some would argue the best.
