How much boost could I safely run on a stock M50tu? And how much hp/tq roughly could I expect at this? My philosophy is don't replace it til it blows out. After it goes I will go with the thicker headgasket/arp studs/etc. Thanks all!

The only truly correct answer to that question is "it depends". :P

What is the intended use? what are your goals with this?

On a completely stock M50TU, making 300 whp and 300 ft-lb can be completely reliable for a long time if done properly.

This is exactly my goal. 300hp. Intended use: daily driving with every now and then "spirited" driving. I don't want some crazy 400+ road machine as this is out of my want area as well as my cashflow area. I have enough money to do 300hp the right way. What boost setting would you reccomend to reach this? Thanks!

boost depends on the turbo and the rest of the system. The best answer is use enough boost to reach your goal. for 300 whp on a stock M50TU, we generally saw between 7psi and 12 psi.
