E35 1996 318 tds no heat air in the car.

Hi to every one, first excuse me for my bad english and second I'm new to this forum and may have been wrong with posting.
I bought BMW 318 tds and I have been having problems with my heating the air getting into the cab it bearly heat, but the opposite the cold air is ok, when I put the air conditioner on the cold air becomes more cold but the heat hair not.
The temp of the engine is ok, it remains constant always.

Can any one help me telling what to do.

Thanks, but the problem is that even when the AC is off no heat air comes in the cab, one of my friend had a vw polo 1996 without plenty of coolant in the expansion tank and when he turn off the AC hot air came in the cab.
Well I doubt that is the problem of coolant fluid.

Our cars rely on coolant and a properly bled coolant system for hot air to come out of the vents when your blower motor is on. Unless you are saying that no air is coming out of the vents at all. Then you have a problem with blower motor.

check your center vent and make sure the the color is set to red and not blue. When its on blue it only let cold air in

Thank you all for ideas and the time consumed for me,I solve this problem and was Dual Valve controller in the engine compartment mounted to the firewall.

i have the same prob man. when the engine runs free the heater does not blow out the hot air inside the car, when i give the engine rews it only the it starts blowing out the hot air. any ideas? today i also checked the water pump and the heater radiator, both of them work fine

It's the cooling system needing bled I have the same issue in my e36 when I'm driving my air is extremely hot but at idle or stop lights it blows cold. Its most likely being caused by air bubbles in the system.

+1 to this.. I went like 2 months the first winter I got my E36 thinking my heat only worked for the defrost vents LOL

Or a clogged heater valve/core, revving the engine is able to push the coolant through, but otherwise you're not getting enough through to heat the air enough.
