So i got this 325i that someone put in the toaster too long and the fire dept decided the hood was too straight and the fenders were missing its beauty divots. My buddy bought this for $450 for the interior, wheels, seals, sunroof and other odds and ends and gave me the rest. It's a 95 but has a 92 525NV motor with the vanos solonoid just hanging around. Looks like the jacklegs that put the motor in thought a loose fuel line was the way to go. The fuel feed line hose clamp was just hanging around. I need a daily driver so i can repaint and S52 my E30 vert so here is the plan. Build this so i can drive it, not worry about paint or even all the parts, just need a driver. I am installing a black interior with M3 luxury door panels and Vaders, GC suspension, 96-99 M3 front arms/CABs/spindles/rear trailing arms. 996 calipers and CSL rotors, 18x9.5 ARC8s F+R, M3 mirrors/skirts/bumpers. For the motor i am going to keep the NV head. It has 7mm stems as opposed to the 6mm stems so i am going to port the head, add S50 or S52 cams, mod the head for vanos so i can put it back on. The bottom end is the only major thing that i have not decided on. I am probably keep it stock for now. One other thing i want to do is a 5 speed swap but for now i think i am going to just add the pedal assy and once i am done with my E30 i can go ahead and strip this one down for paint and then put it back together with a 5 speed and either an S50 or S52 bottom end or turbo the shit out of the M50.
This is what i am starting with.....

I removed all the interior drain plugs and proceded to use Bleech White inside and out and got it hosed it all down. Came out pretty clean. I am going have to get a new firewall insulation. The heat made the other one fall apart. A new one is around $125 from Tischer and more if i go with something like Heatsheild. I'm going to have to pull the rest of the motor and trans out to install it though. The firewall and the trans tunnel insulation come glued together in one peice from what i can tell. At least i'll be able to clean it all out though. I hate a greasy engine compartment.
