Well, rats! I suspect I may have been a dumbass. I had to pull my exhaust yesterday and naturally a couple of the studs at the stock manifold twisted off. I got the bright idea I could probably just hit them with the air hammer and zip the broken ones out, which in fact I did without too much trouble. Unfortunately I now have a "O2 sensor 1" bank one and two code. Hard to believe it's a coincidence. So, do you think the vibration from the air hammer killed them? What would be the best way to check?

Best way to check it is to give it two driving cycles. Assuming all is still hooked up and it doesn't clear you have broken something inside the sensor.
You could also pull the voltage off the sensor to see if it is actually working too. Range should be between 0-1VDC...

Thanks. Yes, I've driven it a couple times, hasn't cleared (plus I have Torque running and it shows it as a current error). I may try to check the voltage, but I bet I've retired them. Oh, well, was probably due for new ones anyway....
Any reason I shouldn't go with the NGK versions (like from Amazon)?
