Got a call from Red Bull today because I texted a contest about a month ago and I won the grand prize!

So this Sunday I go to Silverton CO for the Red Bull Cold Rush. It's extreme back country skiers doing crazy stuff and I get to watch. The package includes 4 nights and 5 days of lodging, 1 day lift ticket to watch the skiers do competition on the slopes, 1 day taking a snow cat to the back country watching the competitors -and the cool part - I get a ride on the Red Bull helicopter to the deep back country with the competitors and watch them at 13k feet doing crazy stuff.

You bastard!!!Sorry, "but bastard" is an Australian and Un Zud term of endearment. I don't think it's usage has matured to the degree that you're using in NA unless you bastards are more like us, in the early 21st century? Helloooo, I don't think so.

I'll post more endearments about this bastard's good luck a bit later.

I'm thinking "may an emu kick your dunny door down", and things like that.

"Lower than a Black Snake's duodenum" is a bit harsh. I'll find something in between.

It's not Sunday or Monday, depending on when your week starts, but here's the trivia for the week:

The Australian Coat of Arms is held by two animals that cannot walk backwards. So, we Aussies - pronounced Ozzies, coincidentally, can't go backwards either. Ask anyone who's been on ops with us.

You could characterise us as being down the bottom of nowhere, but always helping out everywhere :) Even when I post useless posts. But I know at least one person who smiles when they read my stuff, and it's not me.

So coming to Silverton I had to go over red mountain pass http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxqhU2R5rnc not my video but gives you an idea.

So I have the cruise set at about 7 over on the flat part before the next climb up. I see this car coming up fast behind me. Next thing I know this Subaru tribeca blows by me. I'm cool with that but now I'm coming up on the next hill climb and the twisties and I know I'll catch him. Well sure enough I catch up to him and I'm on him like flies on s*^t. There was nowhere to pass him but I could of if there was a place. I wonder what he's thinking as he sees the Angel eyes on his ass. :-)

I would be a lot more excited if that stuff tasted less like gasoline. Maybe the 7 would dig it?

Snow tomorrow. Thank goodness I got new rear tires for going over the pass tomorrow.

Got stuck today had to shovel her out and a few guys pushing I was able to get out. My new Alpina lip is still in one piece! Got a running start on the hill I had to get over and made it. Turned traction off and just hit it - car going sideways and all. I think that was the most fun part of the whole trip!

One guy who helped push said "that's a nice car!" I didn't tell him she has over 180k on the clock.

Only like 5 states (around Colorado) had the chance to enter - I texted to RedBull and they pulled my "my name from the hat" and I got the call.
