So, obviously, www.tirerack.com has great selection and some pretty good sales and whatnot, but do any of you peeps know of other online tire shops that may have rippin' deals? (specifically on Bridgestone S-03's...)
I don't wanna pay $400 for two rear tires, but I will if I must. ;)

Absolutely satisfied? Dude, www.tires.com is a joke! They don't even CARRY Bridgestone tires, as far as I can tell. Sheesh.

the markup on tires is rediculous, even with on-line shops.. try to make friends with somebody at a tire shop and get em at cost.. i just got (2) 235/40/18 and (2) 275/35/18's for just over $400, installed (not bad), but my friend just got (4) 235/40/18's for $200.. he's friends with a tire shop owner..

Sorry but those Bridgestone's are one of the top tires.........I used them on my 1998 Mustang Cobra.......and now I use them on my 2000 BMW lasted me 3 summers........so I don't know where you come up with that conclusion that they are the worst???:eyes1 :eyes1 :eyes1

Yeah, I"d love to find some deals on:
BFG Geforce TA/KD's
S03 Pole Positions
Michelin Pilot Sports
in 255/40/17
as it is right now due to cost, I'm going to put on
Nitto NT555 street tires (pretty damned amazing tire for the buck)

www.tires.com has the best overall service. Just because they don't carry Bridgestones, doesn't mean they suck.
Tirerack also doesn't carry all brands either. Also, when you have a problem with your tire, at tires.com, you can take it to any one of their local stores.
This place has the best prices I have seen On Bridgestone Pole Position S03s

What is wrong with the sponsor of the forum? Bimmerlife it sounds like you work for them. He did ask for the S03 and it is one of the best handling tires on the market. I have driven them head to head and they are at the top. By the way they just say they offer free shipping. Check the prices head to head and you can see they just average the freight into the price.
As far as service I will put my reputation and service against anyone in the business. We won the JD Power award two years in a row for customer service. We also do our own tire testing here and I have actually driven on the tires we sell. I don't know of anyone else in the industry that takes the time and money to go out and drive and learn about the products we sell.
It is true we don't carry everything but we try to sell the best products in the industry.

Yeah, the whole point of this thread was for me to get a good price on S-03's.
After poking around at all the shops mentioned and a few others I found, I ended up going back to ol' faithful - TireRack. Nobody could beat their price by more than 5 or 10 bux, when shipping was factored in. And at least I know tirerack won't shaft me and has the customer service to back up any problems i run into... not to mention a Nevada warehouse so I get my tires in 2 days with cheap shipping.
Ordered 'em this morning. ;)

I used to own an S2000 that came with S0-2's. I loved the tires but felt for the price they should last more than 7500 miles. I realize too that the thread did state that you were looking for Bridgestone's, but I appreciate the input that I received on the S2000 board and this board too. That input steered me to Kumo and I ran several sets on my S2000 which lasted a little longer at almost half the price. I did give up some dry stickiness but they were great in the rain, so I would consider keeping an open mind. I did buy my tires from tirerack and Jim took excellent care of me when another sales person steered me to the wrong size for my S2000. I now own a E46 325 Ci. Hope this helps.

Actually, I'm quite open to trying new tires. However, on an M3, as you may expect, the S03's wear faster on the rear than they do on the front. (okay, that has more to do with my heavy right foot than anything else) As a result, my front S-03's are still in great shape, while my rears are nearing the end of their life.
I've had terrible experiences mixing different brands of tires on the front and rear, so my goal here was just to snag another pair of rear S-03's. By the time these rears are toast, the fronts should be nice and used up as well. At that point, you can bet I'll start poking around for alternative brands that don't cost quite as much. (despite the slightly-quick lifespan of the S-03's, they sure are one hell of a tire, though.. I love 'em)
