After three awesome years of ownership, I've decided to put my 2002 Phoenix Yellow M3 up for sale. It took me about 6 months to find this car as I was determined to get either a Phoenix Yellow or Laguna Seca Blue M3 after owning nearly 10 silver cars in a row! I found this car in Clovis, New Mexico and had it shipped across the country to Nashville, TN where I have been enjoying it ever since. This car was my daily driver until last week when I picked up a 528 wagon to accomodate my growing family. I don't want to sell it, but I also have a Porsche 911 so its really pointless to have two fun and fast secondary cars sitting in the garage gathering dust most days. I'd rather pass the M3 on to another enthusiast who will continue to enjoy it daily as I have for the past three years and use the sale proceeds to fund a future purchase of a GT3. If it doesn't sell, I'll just keep driving it as I love the car (this is my second M3 and my 6th BMW) and have a big enough garage to hold onto it. A link to over 50 pics is here: https://picasaweb.google.com/m3brendan/BMWM3?authkey=Gv1sRgCLDBwO6Unt_z7wE

Here are the details:

2002 BMW M3 coupe

Rare Phoenix Yellow Metallic over black leather interior

VIN: WBSBL93472JR16683

6 speed manual transmission

75,3XX miles

Clean title/Carfax

19 inch OEM staggered wheels wrapped in Kumho SPT tires with ~2k miles on them

Rod bearing recall performed prior to my ownership

Rear subframe inspected last year under class action settlement

Other than the rock chips mentioned below, car has no major scratches and is 100% door ding free (I'm that guy who parks extremely far away)

Always garaged both at home and at work

Non-smoker

100% stock except for the following: (i) DICE silverlink (allows iPod to be played and controlled through factory CD player), (ii) euro center console tray (to hold iPod), (iii) Modbargains faux shark fin (can easily be removed- held on with 3M double sided tape), (iv) front bumper reflector delete kit and (v) Valentine One hardwire kit (Valentine One does not come with the car and I can remove this if you prefer as I can use it in my wagon)

All records from my ownership (February 2009+). I was able to obtain the records for the periods prior to my ownership (and confirm the road bearing recall was done) by calling my local BMW dealer and having them feed the VIN through their computer (which is how I confirmed the rod bearing recall).

Recent maintenance includes (i) full alignment (August 2011), (ii) new front brake pads and rotors and rear brake pads (March 2010), (iii) power steering hose (March 2010) and (iv) 60k miles valve adjustment (September 2010).
No track (that is what the 911 is for)

Adult/BMWCCA member owned and maintained - mostly highway miles going back and forth to work

PPI welcome (and encouraged)

Comes with Owner’s Manual and 3 keys

Needs nothing other than a new driver. Every last mechanical bit works as it should each and every time.

I'm very picky about my cars, and given that this one is now 10 years old, I do want to point out a couple of minor imperfections as would be expected of a vehicle of this age and mileage (and all of which are documented in the pictures):

the rear wheels both have minor curb rash (nothing major- it was this way when I got it and it never bothered me enough to fix)

the hood and front bumper have some rock chips

the front passenger fog light lense is cracked (it was this way when I got it- never got around to picking up a replacement lense). The fog light works fine.

The silver trim on both the drivers's and passenger's door is bubbling (a common wear item for E46 M3s). The silver trim on the rear armrests, the dash and the center console is in good condition with no bubbles. I had planned to wrap in carbon fiber tape or replace with piano black trim, but never got around to it.

The driver's seat back, rear passenger side panel and passenger door panel have indentations in them from the previous owner. My guess is that he tried to haul something and didn't secure it well. The previous owner did not mention it to me before I bought it, but it never bothered me enough to fix it.

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about the car. My e-mail address is m3brendan at yahoo.com and my cell is 615.497.7870. I'm happy to help with shipping at your expense. I've shipped several cars and can recommend some good carriers.

Asking 19k. No trades please.

Several people contacted me to tell me the picasa link wasn't working. It should be fixed now!
