We just got in 3 of the new F30's at Schaeffer BMW, I snagged some pics, this is pre PDI so they are still in transport mode and sit a little high. I focused on the 335 sport for now. I like the stitching, the red accents on the dash and the seat design so far. I meant to take a picture of the 4 cylinder and how it sits but I was being rushed as they need to get into service. I also like how the key matches the luxury model I beleive.

Gorgeous! I LOVE that front end!!!

Only thing I am not fan of is the light colored steering wheel in the one car ... that shouldn't even be offered as an option. 1. Black wheels don't show dirt as bad and 2. The cream colored wheel makes it look very Buick-esque.

Nice. Thanks for sharing.
Much more in the F30 section:

That creme colored steering wheel and dashboard is on all Modern Line F30s, even if you get the black interior. Creme dash and steering wheel with black carpets, seats... Some people should not be designing cars.

The front resembles the f10. But why does the back look exactly the same!?!?!?

A few things:

First off, thanks for the pics! The red 335 looks great. I'm not sure on the red line on the dash, maybe it will grow on me but that's something I would not want.

The beige steering wheel is hideous. Same goes with the beige key.

I really like the interior layout, it's kind of facing/angled at the driver again! That's a huge plus.

I like the front-end quite a bit, as well as the rear. Overall, it's a good looking car from the exterior.

The black mirrors are cool, but really that car needs a window tint because they stick out way too much.

Besides the f10 being ugly as sin. I hate when 2 cars look exactly the same...

Why would they make the cars look so similar. The only reason to buy one over the other is leg room?

The interior is sexy tho

If you think legroom is the only difference, you really need to get in each of those cars and drive them (waiting for the F30 but already have for the F10). I guess no arguing beauty since it is in the eye of the beholder. I love the looks of both, very modern.

Wow! That looks much better in "real life pics" than BMW marketing pics.

The beige wheel does look like it came right out of my Oldsmobile.
I also see BMW is still putting the handles for pulling the doors shut in the wrong place.

My uncle has the new 535 I should check it out. But I know they will drive different I was talking about pure looks.

Except for the rear, looks are very very different, inside and out. Sure there is some sibling resemblance, but that has always been there. I guess some people were not around in the 70s/80s to remember how alike all the lineups were.

The front isn't "that" different.

No I wasn't around in the 70/80's but IMO I liked the completely different look of e46/e9x to the e39/e60.

Cool. I never realized that the ride height was set high out of the factory. I imagine that getting it back to normal height involves some kind of spring spacer removal? Based on that assumption, it seems odd that BMW want brand new cars to be pulled apart at the dealerships. Any insight on this would be interesting. Thanks

Also, is the front bumper license plate thing detachable in some way? I sure hope so, because it is ugly as sin.

Needs clears.

Seriously, though, the F30 looks great. Can't wait to see one in the flesh, if you will. Exterior is excellent. I don't like the horizontal line where the front of the hood meets the nose. E46 was much better, with the kidneys as part of the hood - no line. Taillights look a bit swollen. Love the new headlights and kidneys.

I like the E9x interior better, although I may be in the minority in loving the E9x interior. It was almost zen like, with only a few long flowing lines from the door all the way to the ebrake. This one is busy, with the door panels that don't mate up with the dash, and the strange cut in the center of the dash on the passenger side. Love the steering wheel shape, but the beige is truly hideous. Red stitching is excellent.

Good job BMW.

New BMW design theme, due to European pedestrian crash regulations I believe.

I didn't realize that the first time around. I hope it is removable too, espcially for those of us who live in a state that doesn't require front plates.

I am sure its going to be, as that is a US plate carrier, and would not fit a Euro plate....

Makes sense.
Hopefully they make a delete piece like they did for the e38 and e39.

States that don't require front plates shouldn't come with them, but the are drilled in so if you buy a car with them you are SOL.

Actually the front end reminds me a little bit of the current Z4.

I saw it in person and it looked like a Z4 and F10 meshed together. Love the interior.. not sure about the beige steering wheel. Here's a black one (I think looks cleaner) that just hit BMW Cleveland

Black or they had a dark grey metallic that was just amazing

You know, I like the look too, and the steering wheel is very cream puff looking. I am more inclined to want the darker model, but I really like the color accent stitching on the red one as well.

I used to be against the newer model look, thought it was too much like some of the Nissan/Infinity line (Bangel-butte); but the more I look them over, the more I am considering this one as my next purchase.

I saw one of these on Monday, a 335 sport line. Exterior is great but the interior is way too unsettled. Too many shapes/lines/colors going on, and we all know about the iDrive screen and how it looks like an afterthought. I'll enjoy my end of run E92 and wait to see what the LCI F cars look like.

Saw this exact car at BMW pembroke pines when I went in for a brake light circuit
Red sport 335 with a modern 328...great looking cars still partial to my e36 stoic expression...does make mine instantly older parked next to it
