They're just extra compartments. Thought standard on the iL. Mine has them.

And why update the road Atlas? Only newer roads are in residential communities in developing areas. Highways never change much LOL. Plus don't you have navigation anyways? And a phone? LOL.

Maddie , just a few thoughts ... I love 2 tone interiors, love the individual approach .. but you have too much 2 tone parts I think ... so just a few suggestions . Don't get me wrong ... it is just ideas. May be you have the parts in that color, may be you don't ... but here is my idea.

http://www.imgplace.com/img94/8099/95i36nb9.th.jpg (http://www.imgplace.com/viewimg94/8099/95i36nb9.jpg)

And on the exterior:
I love the car with the new Alpinas ... do you not like the vision with the rocker panels and front and back lower trim in body color grey metallic?

did a very poor PS job .. but you get the idea

Maddie, love the Alpina's!

Can you give a little insight on how you came about them? are those 19's? I think its a discussion about the 19's in another thread. (for the record I could care less if they are reps,:buttrock)

All thats left is for you to drop it like its hot(sport springs/shocks in front), and you are golden:buttrock

I'm making my own custom highline as well, using my good friend Jamesbondbimmer's highline as inspiration. All I'm missing is the black welting!

I already got the Eibachs and Bilstein Shocks, and FRONT Control arm kit. ( Just gotta Install now, takes longer for DIY process ) I also have an alpina lip from Poland, on the way......Everyone else gets theirs from Poland....so why not me...plus its a lot cheaper than $1548 from Alpina!

The Softlines are FIRST or SECOND Generation Softlines with the EXPOSED Valve Stems. It seems that a LOT of people have no idea Exposed Stem Versions of Softlines were made. They see an exposed Valve Stem and they automatically assume that they are replicas.

My Rims are 9 x 20 Front / 10 x 20 Rear, TWENTY SPOKE, Rims. From what I hear, There never were 20", TWENTY SPOKE, replicas produced. One SURE FIRE way to spot an alpina replica is count the spokes. Replicas have NINETEEN spokes. REAL Alpinas have TWENTY spokes :)

I Paid $3000, from a REALLY decent Guy in California, From BimmerMotorsports in Studio City California. And I tell how good he is.....He actually DROVE FROM CALIFORNIA to personally bring me the rims!!!!! I was shocked!!!!! He pulled up in a BRAND NEW Alpina B7.....( was tight! )

I have already Contacted Susan Kruser from KSK - Alpina in California, And she has already authenticated that my rims are legit. And again......all the speculation is based on Exposed Valve Stems.....LOL.....Funny! Exposed Valve Stems were from 94, 95, & 96. HIDDEN Valve Stems, were last production models 97 on.

And because of all the speculation.....Its promted me to do an DIY Alpina Care Article! ( Coming Soon! )

DukeEllington (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/member.php?u=273672) cAN YOU PLS POST MORE PICS FROM interior? You also have a grey leather, correct? I like what you did with the door panels - using black as base and grey as the highline/individual.

here is my current set up

http://www.imgplace.com/img13/9149/60p1018518111111.th.jpg (http://www.imgplace.com/viewimg13/9149/60p1018518111111.jpg)

HERE A a few ideas that I had ... but I believe you nailed it as it looks better with a dark(black, navy blue) whole door panel and a lighter(grey, champagne) airbag piece.

not to jack Maddies fine thread ;), thx for the info on the rims as well, live that life

the green 7 on the left from the pic above is a highline(jamesbondbimmer:buttrock)green and cream, mine on the right is black and grey. which means only the seats and arm rest on the door is grey. to make it perfect i would need a all black center console.

The funny thing is although my 7 came with all grey interior like yours, my whole interior is redone. black carpet, black doors, grey sport contour front seats, grey electric 750 rear seats. like said all I'm missing is the welting. and I'm finished. that and the e65 headrests thats already in the mail.:)

^^^im actually considering painting the door panels black and leave the gray leather like you have. Two tone on these cars is awesome

DukeEllington
02-02-2012, 05:02 PM
To really do it, you need both sets, then you take them apart and put them back together, however you want(theres alot of possiblities although Breyton none of the ones you mentioned are posibilities except for the top one, which I considered but decided was not a true highline design). BTW, those are black 750 leather chromeline doors I'm using= keep a eye out at your local scrapyards!
