I only drive my M3 on the weekends, maybe 3 times a month. It's located in Atlanta, and I work in NC. I don't have the time to track it, and realistically, I drive it like a grandmother with the occasional 5-10 second bursts through the gears maybe one or two times when I'm leaving a stop light or on the freeway. If I'm driving it in this manner, am I going to have a lot of problems with heat soak since it's a Stage 1 VF Engineering kit with no after/intercooler?

I keep reading about guys who complain about no way to cool the car, but most of you drive your cars a lot more than I do, and on the track. I just treat it as something to put a grin on my face when leaving a stop light once in a while.

I bought the kit at the sale price ($3.4k) over Christmas, and while I would really like a TRM turbo, I don't know that it's worth it for me right now, with all my law school loans and potential job uncertainty when I finish my tour in the Marines. County prosecutors/assistant DAs don't make that much (if that's what I end up doing). :rolleyes

What do you think? I've never had FI, and this seemed like a relatively inexpensive way of getting my feet wet.
