Most 740s come with the chrome trim above the windows and on the doors.
Whats te best way to black them out?

Plastidip! Google it. A few members have used it with great success and feedback. I believe home depot carries it...

Home depot. It was like 6 bucks for a can. Comes in the same size can as krylon spray paint. Spray paint aisle. One can should be sufficient. Just be sure to tape everything off carefully

No need to sand or use primer. I did my all of my trim yesterday afternoon.
All you need to do is tape and mask off anything you don't want to get painted. The PlastiDip has a rubber like quality so it peels off easy.
Do one light layer of PD, let it dry and then add 2 or 3 more coats. Simple as that. How it turns out in the end is dependent on how well your prep work is.
Be careful when removing the tape because the PD will peel off with it. I used a razor blade to separate the PD from the masking tape.
I hope this helps, I took some pictures but they didn't come out that good because I took them with my phone. I'll upload them a little later

It's surprisingly easy. It took about three hours or more but most of the time was spent doing prep work. I recommend that everyone try this if you want to know how your car will look with black trim.
The car is at stock height for now sitting on style 95's.

I'm not exactly sure but it seems pretty durable. I hit bugs going about 80mph yesterday and there are no chips or peeling. I have yet to wash it though. You have to really dig at it to make it peel off

It's as permanent as you want it to be. It's pretty durable but can be removed if you want it. It doesn't have the same properties as spray paint.
