Will I have rubbing problems?

I plan to lower my car 1/4" - 1/2" in the rear. I never have any rear seat passengers (except for my 10-month old son occasionally).

If I run 19x11 in the rear, will I have any rubbing problems? I'd like to go as wide as posssible without any rubbing.

You don't say what car the wheel is for or what size tire you are going to run. I would say that a 19X11 is extreme and not needed on any BMW for improved handling.
