Radio Shut Off when 'Stop' Button is Pushed

Hello All,

So I'm highly annoyed when the radio/music is still playing long after I have turned the engine off, opened the door, gotten out of the car, and then closed the door. After doing all of that, the radio is still playing up until I hit the lock button on the keyfob.

Is there a setting to shut of the stereo when I hit the 'Stop' button to shut off the engine or when I open the door to get out???

Push your stop button to shut the car off. Then with your foot off of the brake pedal, push the stop button again. It will turn everything off.

Had the same frustration, but figured-out the double-click on the Start button. Lots of annoying 'features'. Thanks for sharing.

That annoying feature is the accessory mode. It's for sitting and listening to the stereo. The annoying part is that it only lasts about 5 min and you can't get back to it without starting the engine. :(

When the accessory mode shuts down, on the 2012, push the radio volume/power button and the radio will come on without restarting or using the engine button.

Yeah I figured that double click to recently. It's helpful when you pull up to somewhere while talking on the phone and want to shut off the car without canceling the call.

Thanks for the heads up on the volume button push to turn it back on, that will be helpful when relaxing on breaks.

I just purchased a 2011 530d m sport and the stop start button is quite annoying! Thanks for the tip as I did look foolish getting out whilst music was still playing.
