:D:D:D after three months of trying everything i could think of, i order some new "M3" brake lights from ebay for 79 dollars free ship. got them in the mail today and guess what, Depo's :D and i thought they were just a generic brand. turns out their depo's. new bulb sockets with them and my brake lights are fixed.
also got a hi flow magnaflow cat put on today and got my exhaust fixed so it isnt just hanging all over the place.
Pics tomorrow and a video for the sound, because i love it

Biggest problem with after market lights is you have to bend the connectors in the sockets so they will contact the sheet metal contacts. And even the sheet metal contact plates have to be bent a bit. And making sure all contact points are clean and wire brushed helps.
Glad to hear you solved this in a cheap way.

All my brake lights work perfectly fine before when I had the stock lights, and they still do when I got my Depo Smoked Tails. However, after installing those Depo's I cannot seem to get rid of the Brake Light Circuit Failure warning in the OBC....Got so tired of fiddling with it I don't even look at it anymore, problem solved!

well lucky me my obc doesn't work and doesn't show any thing up other than the temp. and even that has a few pixels not working:cool
something that im not to concerned with fixing. next thing on my list is some DDM headlights and HID's and tackling the CEL light. because a O2 sensor wasn't the culprit.
