Gauge Cluster Shut off Help

I have a 1994 325i, when driving from time to time the gauge cluster will shut off, all gauges will go to 0, it normaly only happens for 2 sec. but nothing else shuts off, all lights radio, and power stuff stays working. nothing comes up on the obc. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

sounds like you've got a short somewhere, have you checked for any frayed/rubbed wires in on the back of your cluster?

Your cluster is bad. It's a common problom. Replace it and you should be good! If your car is post 95 you may have a chip behind the cluster that could also be the problom. But in any case start with the cluster first.

ok thanks a lots for the help, can i put a 95+ gauge cluster in my 94?

today my gauge cluster stoped working other than the speedo, does anyone know if i can put a 95+ gauge cluster in my 1994?
