About 3 weeks ago, I pulled the key out of the ignition and the car was still running. I tried a number of things to turn the ignition but it wouldn't turn, so dealer put a new one in. Now whenever I open the drivers door, the dinging starts. It stops when I close the door,(doesn't matter if key is in ignition or not)
I thought the dinging was only if you left the key in the ignition and opened the door? Am I wrong? This feature saved me from locking my keys in the car a couple of times and that's how I remember how it used to work, but maybe I'm wrong. Should I have dealer rip it apart again and fix it, if it is wrong?
