hi everyone

i'm asking for your help and experience to help me decide what would be the best tire size for my 4door 1996 m3

well actually i'm not lowered, but I plan lower the car about 1inch during the summer

i recently bought a set of 4 ESM wheel 004 17x8 et20 front and 17x9 et25 rear.

I would definitely like to have a stretch look on those wheel

I remove 2 tire 225\45\17 from my previous m3 wheel since 2 where finished!

so my question, do you think 225\45\17 will stretch on my rear wheel which is 9inch wide??

and what size for the front would you recommend!?

Id go 205/45 all around and lower it two inches if i wasnt looking to slam my car. 225 is a very mild stretch on a 9" wheel, though at those offsets, a huge stretch isnt required. With some mild fender rolling and a one inch drop, you can do 215/45 and 225/45's no problem.

thanks for your answer since i got 225 45 17 almost brand new, i will put at the rear.. and then buy some 205 45 17 for front!

i like you suggestion of lower 2inch but in quebec canada the road are damn messed up.. a lot of hole and crack, if i lower more than 1 inch i will fucked up my car for sure!!

thanks for the hint :)
