They dont look like RS 3-piece wheels to me, but more like the BBS RC 090 (style 5) 2-piece wheels from an e39 5 series. But still a good deal. They are 17x8 et20. For your e36, 215/45 tires should be your best bet for stock suspension since the offset is a bit low for your car. Or for your E34, I believe you can go with 225 or 235/45 tires.

so yeah, i know now theyre style 5s. i was going off my friends word as i dont know jack about wheels.

so i have 2 225/35/17 dunlop direzza tires that id like to include in this set up.
should i use those as fronts and go 245/40/17 in rear

or 225/35 rear and the suggest 215/45 in the front?

Whoa, those tire sizes are completely crazy matches for the fronts and rears, I hope you messed up your numbers there somehow.

First of all, what car are you putting these on? With the offsets of the wheels, that will tell you what size tires may need to be run, as your two cars listed on your profile carry two different size offset requirements. For either car you will also need to use hub centric rings to use these wheels.

Second, the wheels are the same size all around, not staggard like your stock wheels most likely are. No need to run different sized tires front and rear.

225/35 and 245/40 are over a 6% difference in tire diameter and will not only look retarded, but the fronts would be about an inch and a half smaller than the rears. No good. Same with the 225/35 and 215/45 set up, way too different.

Like I suggested, 215/45 (all around) will be close to stock size for your E36, while still giving room to clear your fenders because of the lower offset. Or 235/45 (also all around) for your E34.

Great, you don't know anything about tires and you're hitting the streets at 120 mph?

I think you should put these on the E34 and buy something more performance oriented for the M3, like Kosei K1's. Cheap and light and in your offset range.
