View Full Version : 92 525i automatic problems going into gear

My car got stuck in park at exactly 27000 miles, and I figured out which part I needed to replace but I can't figure out the name of it. I have a diagram from real oem, it doesn't have a part name on the list, as you'll see part number 10 is missing on the price chart on the link to real oem below:

Is there any chance someone here would know the name of part number 10 on the diagram? It's on the bottom right side of the picture.

I'd suspect it's called a shift interlock; You have to have the key in the ignition to shift our of park. Does it work if you disconnect it/remove it?
