Well the time has come to finally put the shoes on the RG-R set sitting in the basement and my question about tires which i thought i had solved is again confusing me.

The stock size for a 95 m3 is 235 40 17 and i had been planning on getting some 235 40 18 and then it hit me that my speedo would be off by a bit. So its about a 4% difference between actual speed and speedo speed but i can live with that.

My actual worry is that my turn-in will be affected by the larger rim with the same size tire sidewall..any thoughts guys? The reason I dont want 245 35 or something like that is i want the cushion of the sidewall and i need to have all season tires in which sizes are sort of limited.

Is going from a 235 40 17 to a 235 40 18 going to be noticeable for handling ?

I did not notice any change in my turn in and I went + 3 on my new set up.

Same here, I have no problem with running these size tires. I also went with this size tire for the same reason.

I also have sold this set up numerous times with no problem. It will throw off the speedometer some. As long as all four tires are the same size it will not affect the anti lock brakes or traction control.
If I can help with the tires let me know.
