Probably either the switch or blower motor itself? Check fuses first, though.

hmm, Im assuming the fuse would be in that box under the hood? I looked at those and they appeared to be fine.

Forgive me for my noobishness...this is my first bmw....I can pull apart my mustang top to bottom but this is a new world for me.

I went through this just a few months ago, your going to need a new blower motor. Its about $200 and installing it is pretty easy, just takes some time.

Black car + Black interior + no AC + Arizona 100+ temps = not fun :shifty

I'm there too. Motor bearings / brushes wear out and the motor stops working.

Just be happy it didn't overheat in the process and burn your car to the ground. happend multiple times on this board.

a search of "blower motor fire" on this forum will scare the shite out of you

Check all of the fuses under the rear seat as well. I thought there was one under there that has something to do with the HVAC system but it's been years since I had this issue and don't recall which fuse box had the blown fuse.

I checked all the fuses, everything looks good. Still no go.

I guess its the actual blower motor.

Again, forgive me for my noob q's but where the hell is this blower motor actually located? lol

If You're new to these cars and asking these questions, that tells me you don't have a Bentley E34 Manual. They are pricey compared to a Haynes or Chilton, but they are worth every penny. With a little luck you should be able to find a new one online for about $50.

Sorry I couldn't be of any help on the blower motor replacement. I just flat out haven't done one yet.

Ya get to it through an access panel on the center, engine side of the fire wall. Six bolts, one of which is behind the heater valves/pump (driver side) and a bit of a PITA to get to.
