Ok, so as a labor of love I am going to be doing a mass amount of work on my Touring in the springtime. I bought it knowing it had door rust and a rusty tailgate from a $hitty bondo job somewhere a long the way. So anyways, I have 4 replacement Granitsilber doors, an Islandgrun tailgate, and Granitsilber M5 bumpers. The doors are from a 4/92 525iT (mine is a 6/93 530iT), so they have the early mirrors- now what I am thinking is maybe do a narrow kidney grille and hood with '95 fenders and rock the early mirrors so that it looks like a ///M5 touring? I have a few clean E34's to snag the fenders and hood/narrow grille locally- obviously the car is going to get a complete repaint so now would be the time to swap fenders and narrow grille. Any thoughts, insight? I know I am crazy- but whatever, I want a sweet E34 built my way...

And I say wide so I'm pretty sure you will end up having to decide this on your own. Sorry. Maybe start a poll.

Lol, I figured it might end up pretty split- but I was thinking a narrow grilled early mirrored M60 car would be cool... I will probably have the original grille and hood repainted with the car anyways, so maybe I will have the choice to swap back at anytime? :confused

I have another question, how hard is it to remove all the brightwork and trim from the doors so that I can have them jammed before we put them on the car to spray? Any tips, tricks? Or just pray I don't F$%& something up...? :) I'm thinking shadowline is in order, but if I end up destroying tons of expensive door trim- I may not have the funds for it!
